What we do

Notaires.je helps residents of Jersey, Guernsey and the other Channel Islands deal with the French side of their affairs — buying and selling property, planning and settling successions, structuring ownership and understanding French tax. It is not, in itself, a notarial office: it is an independent service working in partnership with a French notarial office in Saint-Malo, guiding you in English and French and coordinating the French notarial steps from first question to signed deed.

Why working in both languages matters

French property and inheritance law is precise and unforgiving of assumptions carried over from the English or Channel Islands system. Having someone explain it clearly in your language — and handle the French paperwork correctly — avoids costly mistakes.
